PreACT Secure

PreACT Secure is a state required assessment that gauges student readiness in English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. Wisconsin requires all 9th and 10th grade students to participate in the PreACT Secure assessment and all 10th grade students to participate in the WI Forward assessment, scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

What to bring on testing days:

  • KUSD issued electronic device (chrome book/laptop) and charging cord
  • Picture identification (school ID or driver’s license)
  • Two #2 pencils with erasers (not mechanical)
  • Calculator (personal calculators must be pre-approved)
  • Snack (during break only)

What NOT to bring on testing days:

  • Cellphones or other electronic devices
  • Watches
  • Scratch paper
  • Notes
  • Reading materials

Busing adjustment

The following modifications apply to high school busing schedules for March 25, 2025, only. Please contact your child’s school office with any questions or concerns.

March 25 Arrival Plans:

  • Only 9th and 10th grade students should attend on March 25
    • There is no school for 11th or 12th grade students
    • School will start at the normal time
    • Harborside students in grades 6-8, as well as all other elementary and middle school students, will arrive at the usual time
  • High school a.m. bus routes will pick up 9th and 10th grade students at their usual tim

March 25 Departure Plans:

  • LakeView and Harborside shuttles will depart at 12:40 p.m.
  • Reuther will dismiss at 12:55 p.m.
  • Yellow buses and city buses will depart from Bradford, Indian Trail and Tremper at 1 p.m.
  • Hillcrest buses will depart at 1:50 p.m.
